Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. There are two types of cookies: session ID cookies and persistent browser cookies. We use both session ID and persistent browser cookies, which allow you to shop for courses, save courses for later, and take courses. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent browser cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent browser cookies by following directions provided in your browser's "help" section.
If your browser is set to reject cookies, you can still view our website, but you won't be able to take any courses, since we rely on cookies to keep track of your progress within a course.

Some information on our website traffic is automatically gathered and stored in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, internet service providers (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating systems, date/time stamps, and clickstream data. This information does not identify individual users. We use this information to analyze trends, gather demographic information, and administer the site.
